Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Workday Developer (Reporting) with 10+ years of overall IT experience and strong expertise in Workday reporting to serve as the primary owner of reporting activities for a large-scale implementation program.
  • This role focuses on designing, developing, optimizing, and managing Workday reports while partnering closely with implementation teams, functional SMEs, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage all reporting-related project activities, including maintaining the report inventory
  • Partner with the implementation team to gather, define, and coordinate reporting requirements for custom reports (simple to complex)
  • Design, develop, and modify Workday Simple, Advanced, and Matrix reports
  • Troubleshoot and resolve report-related issues in a timely manner
  • Analyze and optimize report performance
  • Test reports against defined requirements and validate data accuracy
  • Coordinate unit testing and end-to-end testing with client functional SMEs
  • Track reporting workstream progress using Confluence, JIRA, and SharePoint
  • Maintain detailed documentation to meet internal and external audit/control requirements
  • Collaborate with reporting leads and project resources to deliver assigned reports
  • Support knowledge transfer to functional teams as needed

Required Qualifications & Experience

Core Skills

  • 10+ years of overall professional experience
  • Strong hands-on experience as a Workday Report Developer
  • Proven expertise building:
  1. Simple Reports
  2. Advanced Reports
  3. Matrix Reports
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional partners for report specification and requirement gathering
  • Strong experience with data mapping and report validation

Technical Skills

  • Intermediate to strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Experience analyzing large datasets for reporting accuracy and performance

Process & Tools

  • Experience working within implementation or transformation projects
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
  • Strong understanding of testing processes and defect resolution

Soft Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
