We are seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow ITSM professional with 12+ years of overall IT experience to lead the design, implementation, and support of ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM solutions. This role focuses on Discovery, CMDB, Service Mapping, and CSDM alignment, supporting both on-prem and cloud environments (AWS & Azure).
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong functional knowledge, and works closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure accurate service visibility, automation, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM Discovery, CMDB, and Service Mapping
- Lead CMDB and CSDM framework implementation, ensuring data accuracy and governance
- Deploy and manage ServiceNow Discovery across on-prem, AWS, and Azure environments
- Create and enhance custom discovery patterns for complex and non-standard environments
- Implement and maintain service mapping for infrastructure and application services
- Develop custom ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, and automations
- Build and maintain REST API integrations with third-party tools (Intune, SCCM, Tanium, Qualys, VMware, etc.)
- Develop ServiceNow components including:
- Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes
- UI Policies, UI Actions, UI Pages, UI Macros
- Flow Designer, Workflows, Security Rules
- Implement ServiceNow orchestration to automate IT operations
- Create and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and visualizations
- Utilize Performance Analytics for operational insights and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, cloud, and application teams
- Troubleshoot complex platform issues and provide long-term solutions
- Ensure solutions align with ITIL best practices
Required Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- 12+ years of overall IT experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM
- Proven experience with Discovery, CMDB, Service Mapping, and CSDM
- Strong experience integrating ServiceNow with AWS and Azure
Technical Skills
- Deep knowledge of ServiceNow data model, tables, and relationships
- Strong experience developing with:
- ServiceNow APIs, Flow Designer, Workflows
- UI Pages, UI Macros, UI Scripts, UI Actions
- Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes
- Proficiency in JavaScript and AngularJS
- Experience with scripting languages such as Perl and PowerShell
- Strong understanding of network, infrastructure, and application architectures
- Experience with REST API integrations and third-party tools
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Performance Analytics
- Experience with .NET development and SQL Server is a plus
