Randstad is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Solution Architect for a prestigious client in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in designing and implementing innovative quality assurance solutions while supporting enterprise-wide modernization initiatives. The candidate will lead the development of sustainable services and applications, ensure alignment with enterprise quality standards, and drive strategic improvements in testing and quality assurance practices. The role requires strong technical expertise, including Core Java, test automation, and DevOps, along with a demonstrated ability to mentor teams and collaborate across multiple IT areas.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure applications are designed and built using best practices and reusable technology solutions that meet business needs.
- Serve as a change agent, promoting improved methods, modern technologies, and quality assurance practices.
- Develop and monitor quality metrics to support the transformation of enterprise-wide QA practices across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Evaluate and recommend updates to QA processes, including test life cycles, change management, and release management.
- Lead the adoption of test-driven development (TDD) and test automation in DevOps environments.
- Drive strategic and tactical solutions that align with long-term enterprise goals.
- Oversee the implementation of UI and API test automation solutions.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to less experienced team members.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure enterprise quality standards are met and maintained.
This role requires a Bachelor’s degree, specialized training, or equivalent experience, along with 5-10 years of experience in IT and 3-5 years of relevant technology architecture experience. Strong expertise in Core Java development, QA methodologies, and testing tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Xray) is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
