Job Description: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused IT Security Support professional with a minimum of 8+ years of IT Support experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise across Windows environments, networking, security, virtualization, and automation scripting.

This role requires hands-on infrastructure support, security best practices implementation, system monitoring, disaster recovery planning, and on-call support across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Windows Server and Desktop operating systems, user accounts, file systems, services, and software installations.
  • Manage and configure Active Directory, including domain backup/recovery and GPO management.
  • Support and maintain server infrastructure and RAID storage configurations.
  • Troubleshoot networking issues involving DHCP, DNS, routing, and firewalls.
  • Apply core security principles including ACLs, encryption, and access control policies.
  • Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, KSH, or Perl.
  • Monitor system health and performance; analyze metrics to identify bottlenecks and improve system efficiency.
  • Execute disaster recovery planning, system backups, and restoration processes.
  • Manage patching cycles, firmware updates, and security updates.
  • Perform darksite patching of Nutanix Hypervisor and related components, as well as other virtualization platforms.
  • Provide +1 level end-user support with a strong customer service approach.
  • Document system designs, solutions, and technical procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of IT Support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  1. Windows Server/Desktop environments
  2. Active Directory and GPO
  3. RAID storage configurations
  4. Networking fundamentals (DHCP, DNS, Firewall, Routing)
  5. Security principles and encryption
  6. Disaster recovery and backup strategies
  7. Nutanix Hypervisor and other virtualization technologies
  • Scripting experience for automation tasks.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with security systems such as Prowatch or Genetec.
  • Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments.
