Embedded Controls Engineer

To develop and deliver software and electronic hardware for engine products globally. Responsibilities include interpreting customer requirements, developing software requirements, designing embedded software, and creating validation plans. Also involves troubleshooting embedded software and providing solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Support the software development process with a 3-month cadence, including requirements interpretation, software design, documentation, and validation.
• Intake software control strategy ideas and models, develop software requirements documentation, and advise on software design.
• Assist in developing and executing software validation plans.
• Collaborate with system engineers to develop requirements for electronic hardware projects (6-12 month timeframe).

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Matlab software, with the ability to understand and communicate functionality.
• Strong ability to write technical documentation for software designs.
• Experience in software controls.
• Ability to develop Matlab models.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Desired Skills:

• Understanding of internal combustion engine design.

Soft Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft 360 suite.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field required.
• 2-4 years of experience required.
• No 2-year degrees accepted.
• Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience will be considered.
