Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect with a strong background in manufacturing, industrial automation, machine reliability, and enterprise systems integration.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with manufacturing technologies and platforms such as MES, ERP, PLM, IBM Maximo, SCADA, IoT, and other OT/IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering, and IT teams to define solution requirements aligned with manufacturing strategy.
- Design scalable, secure, and efficient solutions integrating shop-floor systems such as MES and SCADA with enterprise platforms including ERP, PLM, and QMS.
- Lead solution architecture for Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, IoT, data analytics, and digital twin initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendors for manufacturing solutions.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, from conceptual design through implementation and production support.
- Actively participate in daily, weekly, and sprint ceremonies as part of the Solution Pillar team.
- Support process mapping, gap analysis, and system configuration in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and maintain architectural documentation, including solution blueprints, data-flow diagrams, and integration patterns.
- Identify and mitigate technical and architectural risks.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify opportunities for improved stability, performance, and complexity reduction.
- Stay current with emerging Industry 4.0, manufacturing, automation, and digital transformation technologies.
Preferred Qualifications & Certifications
- TOGAF, ArchiMate, or other enterprise architecture certifications.
- MES/ERP certifications such as SAP PP/ME, Rockwell, or Siemens.
- PMP or Agile project management certification.
- AWS or Azure Solution Architecture certification.
- Hands-on application development experience.
Highly Beneficial Experience
Experience designing and deploying Predictive Maintenance (PdM) enterprise solutions, including:
- Equipment data collection and industrial sensors (heat, vibration, cycle time, etc.)
- Machine Learning / AI models
- Mobile applications
- Alerts and notifications
- Enterprise system integrations
