Job Description:
The Senior Quality Analyst is responsible for testing web applications and enterprise software solutions to ensure quality standards are consistently met. This role involves reviewing business requirements, functional specifications, and technical design documentation; identifying risks to system functionality; creating comprehensive test strategies; and executing detailed test cases.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of strong Quality Assurance experience, including expertise in functional, integration, regression, and automation testing, with a strong focus on web-based applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, write, and maintain test automation scripts and frameworks.
- Develop, publish, and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies.
- Establish and enforce quality assurance standards and best practices.
- Define, monitor, and report QA metrics such as:
- Defect density
- Test coverage
- Open/closed defect counts
- Test execution progress
- Identify risks and ensure traceability between requirements and test cases.
- Provide post-release support, including defect analysis, scalability validation, and workflow verification.
- Collaborate directly with management, product owners, and development teams regarding:
- Test objectives
- Requirements clarification
- Risk assessment
- Test results and quality status
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives).
- Complete all responsibilities as outlined in performance reviews and assigned special projects.
- Perform duties effectively with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 8+ years of significant Quality Assurance experience, including:
- Functional Testing
- Integration Testing
- Regression Testing
- Automation Testing
- Hands-on experience with industry-leading QA tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, Postman, etc.).
- Strong experience testing web applications, including UI, API, and backend validation.
- Proven ability to solve complex software testing problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in documentation and presentation tools such as:
- Microsoft Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- Visio
