JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence twice a week, with a long-term engagement of 12+ months and strong potential for extensions.
The ideal candidate will bring 12+ years of mobile development experience, with deep expertise in Android development using Kotlin, and a strong background in building high-quality, scalable mobile applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and enhance Android applications that meet both business and client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android mobile applications using Kotlin and Android development tools
Collaborate with designers, product managers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end mobile solutions
Customize and enhance mobile applications based on client and project requirements
Ensure performance, scalability, security, and responsiveness of Android applications
Work extensively with Android UI components and modern design principles
Implement and maintain features using Android Maps SDK
Manage mobile builds, deployments, and integrations using standard mobile development and build tools
Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers when needed
Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in mobile and Android development
Participate in customer and project interviews as required
Required Qualifications:
12+ years of overall experience in mobile application development
Strong expertise in Android development with hands-on experience in Kotlin
Extensive experience working with Android Maps SDK
Solid understanding of Android UI development, layouts, and material design principles
Proficiency in mobile development tools, build systems, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience developing Android applications using Kotlin, Java, or related platforms
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and performance optimization
Excellent English communication skills (B2+ level)
Ability and willingness to work hybrid (on-site twice a week in Alpharetta, GA)
Expected seniority level: Senior / Lead-level contributor
