Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Fort Worth, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months (High Possibility of Extension)

Job Description:
The IBM Research End-to-End (ETE) organization is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support the buildout and maintenance of systems in the POK Building 008 data center. This role involves hands-on systems installation and configuration in alignment with IBM’s security and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Install and configure new servers based on project and operational requirements.
Maintain and enhance secure, compliant processes for server operations.
Perform daily system monitoring to verify hardware and server health, system processes, and log reviews.
Manage user accounts: creation, modification, and deletion upon request.
Troubleshoot, repair, and recover from hardware/software failures.
Apply regular OS patches and software upgrades.
Upgrade and configure infrastructure and management applications.
Report on system performance to assist with capacity planning.
Conduct performance tuning and hardware/resource optimization.
Oversee and maintain data center environmental systems and monitoring tools.

Required Professional and Technical Experience:
Strong skills in system building, debugging, and testing.
Systems engineering experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows.
System security administration knowledge.
Familiarity with software engineering practices, particularly Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Dell Systems platform management.
Certifications in Linux and Microsoft system engineering.
Proficiency with system automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
